Since I have told no one here, I am seeing clearing.  First I would like to say that my case is pretty mild: 26 plaques that I am treating on the legs, arms and hands; both ears that I treat only when the pus and bleed from picking; 4 plaques on the face (not treating); 3 plaques on the back (not treating); two smooth patches on the trunk (waste of time to treat); and about a dozen others that are also not being treated.  Have I mentioned that I am quite lazy?  I treat my legs so that I can shave, and I treat my arms because they are easy to do.  I treat my hands and ears because they itch and bleed.  None of the others bother me more than my cellulite. lol.

    1. Cut out coffee.  Coffee gave me bad digestion and dehydrated me.  Replaced with Earl Grey tea as I still need caffiene.  Also drinking dandelion root tea once a day.  If any would like to try it, but don't want to spend 6 bucks per box, Celestial Seasonings makes a Detox AM tea that is milk thistle, dandelion, echinacea, and red clover - 2 bucks for 10 bags.

    2. No POTATO chips, of any kind shape or variety.  If I have to have chips I do yellow corn.  Eat 3 times a day.  More veggies.  Other snacks are homemade popcorn and sunflower seeds 'in the shell.'

    3. Get of my fat A#@.  I try to walk 3 times or more a week, and it is about 3/4 mi.  I have about 80 lbs to lose and the more I do, the better I will be in the long run.  While I am out, soak up the sun!

    4. Quitting smoking.  Still working on this one.

    5. Natural soap in the shower.  Lots of websites that I checked out said that SLS can cause your skin to dry so I decided to test that, and lo and behold, it was making ALL of my skin dry.  Currently use Dr. Bronners because I like liquid and it lasts longer than bars.

My current meds are taclonex and desonide.  I doubt that I will ever qualify for anything but topicals, so I had to try these things instead.  I have come to think of my p as a visible warning of things to come, and in a few ways am thankful for getting it.  Please understand that mine showed up only 3 years ago.  It is linked to everything that my mother has, that her mother had, and so forth.  In my case, if I do not want all of that , I better get healthy!  Maybe it will get the p into remission, who knows?

Jane, I try to make sure that I can buy all of these things in the town that I live in.  Mostly that means longer trips at the store reading labels, but if I don't have to depend on the internet that is all to the better.  You can find Dr. Bronner's Castile soap in bar or liquid, Traditional Medicinals Dandelion Root Tea, Kirk's Castile Soap, any brand of Black Tea (black tea contains the most caffeine), and DandyBlend (dandelion root instant beverage: tastes more like instant coffee and makes just as fast!) on www.amazon.com    You can also just piece together some effective teas from your local supermarket as most of them now sell detoxifying teas.  You may find the soap only at a health or specialty foods store.  Just a note on the Dr. Bronner's liquid soap:  it can be used as shampoo, but only with a good hydrating conditioner like Aussie 3 Minute Miracle because it will strip the hair clean and make it brittle!  You're welcome.
